Mis queridos lectores, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una lista de razones por la cual me siento orgullosa

                                  de ser luterana y pertenecer a la Iglesia Evangélica Luterana en América.

1. Tenemos la unidad de Misión Global que cuenta con ministerios en casi todas las naciones del mundo

2. Las relaciones ecuménicas son fortalecidas día a día

con los Católicos Romanos, Hebreos, Rusos Ortodoxos, Episcopales, Metodistas, Presbiterianos, Evangélicos Unidos,

Islam, Budistas etc.

3. Nuestros Sínodos y Congregaciones se enfocan en la misión.

4. Somos defensores de la justicia social.

5. Reunimos unos 10,000 jóvenes en Nueva Orleans [100 pertenecientes a nuestro sínodo] para la reconstrucción de

jardines casas, estacionamientos. El gobernador reconoció a los jóvenes porque en tres días hicieron más de lo que habían

hecho en cuatro años. El próximo evento será en Nueva Orleans nuevamente.

6. Somos una iglesia que tiene visión mundial del evangelio.

7. Ayudamos a la gente a vivir en el propósito de Dios.

8. Ofrecemos una base fuerte de formación espiritual.

9. Estudiamos y trabajamos en el discipulado de Jesús nuestro salvador.

10. eológicamente estamos divididos pero nos recreamos y alegramos en nuestra diversidad juntos.

11. Somos parte de la Federación Mundial de Iglesias.

12. Somos interdependientes entre las congregaciones y los sínodos para hacer la tarea que Dios nos ha señalado.

13. Tenemos el Programa mas eficiente en los desastres, “Respuesta Luterana al Desastre” llega y aporta en lo

verdaderamente necesario y no se va del lugar hasta que se re-establece la normalidad.

14. Tenemos una oficina Luterana de Inmigración que orienta y ayuda a los inmigrantes a obtener legalidad dentro de los EU.

15. Somos una Iglesia con una larga historia.

16. Somos una Iglesia que prepara líderes para el hoy y el mañana.

17. Nuestra iglesia es muy rica en su liturgia y muy vanguardista en su música. Grandes músicos como Handel, Haydn,

entre otros, eran Luteranos. El Famoso Aleluya de Handel, es una obra Luterana. Y hasta hoy día, somos pioneros en el uso

de la música autóctona en la adoración.

My dear readers, today I want to share with you a list of reasons for which I feel proud of being Lutheran

and belong to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

           1. We have the unit of Global Mission that has ministries in almost all the nations of the world.

           2. The ecumenical relationships are strengthened day by day with the Romans, Hebrew Catholics, Orthodox, Episcopal

Russian,Methodists, Presbyterians, Evangelical United, Islam, Buddhist etc.

           3. Our Synods and Congregations are focused in the mission.

           4 . We are defenders of social justice.

           5. We gathered about 10,000 youths in New Orleans [100 being from the Caribbean Synod]  for the reconstruction of

gardens, houses and parkings. The governor recognized the youths because in three days they made more than what they had

made in four years. The nextevent will be again in New Orleans.

           6. We are a church that has world vision of the gospel.

           7. We help people to live in the purpose of God.

          8. We offer a strong base of spiritual formation.

          9. We study and we work in Jesus' our savior discipleship.

         10. Theologically we are divided but we are delighted and happy together in our diversity.

         11. We are part of the World Federation of Churches.

         12. We are interdependent between the congregations and the synods to do the task that God has called us to do.

         13. We have the most efficient Program for disasters, the “Lutheran Disaster Response”. They arrive and contribute in what

is truly necessary and they do not leave until the normality re-settles down.

        14. We have a Lutheran office of Immigration that guides and helps the immigrants to legalize their status inside the United States.

        15. We are a Church with a long history.

        16. We are a Church that prepares leaders for today and tomorrow.

        17. Our church is very rich in its liturgy and very avant-garde in its music. Big musicians like Handel, Haydn, among other, were

Lutheran. The Famous Hallelujah of  Handel is a Lutheran work. And until nowadays, we are pioneer in the native music use in the adoration.
